April 28th 2006 the Screaming Ducks, Friends and Partners will open a Living History Camp near Hemmen, The Island.
This beautiful part of The Netherlands will be warped back in time to the days of 1944/1945. An Allied Fieldcamp that will
be the kickoff point of a grand liberation parade ! A parade with vintage WW2 vehicles of American and English origin, fully
equiped with crew and gear. Tankdestroyers, Halftracks, Jeeps, Trucks, Tanks, Motorcycles... even a bicycle or two (hey, this
is Holland !). In the evening of the 29th of April, after the parade, Big Band The Zendmasters will give a nostalgic concert in
our fieldcamp. The 20th of April we will have an 'Open Camp Display' of all gear and vehicles, free for all, for young and old !

Currently we are working hard to get everything right; sponsors, vehicles, crew, permits, sponsors, tents... did I mention sponsors ?
If you are thinking about coming over, please let us know. We are saluting all our friends in uniform, and you know who you are !
Maybe we can convince you to become a sponsor of this Educational and Historical Event. We will never forget our Liberators !!

For our youngest guests we have a special program and an educational folder for schools; the next generation is very important
to keep the flame of liberty alive. We are working on a Diary, written by a 13 year old boy growing up in WW2; The Diary of Kees.
If you have any questions regarding this Event, pick up the phone in the Dutch side of the Hemmen 2006 Pages. LEST WE FORGET.
