Studebaker developed the Weasel for the Military, designing it in 180 days, from May 1942.
The M29C Water Weasel was the amphibious version, equiped with an extra bow and rear.
The Water Weasel showed up on all Theaters of War, and earned the nickname 'The Crab'.
From the Pacific to Normandy and from Bastogne to the landings at Walcheren (Holland),
it was a good loyal machine that could handle riverbanks, mud, snow, water and swamps.
In August 1945 the last M29C was produced by Studebaker.
