In September 2006 the Screaming Ducks will participate in 'Operation Torch'. Operation Torch is a joint effort of various organisations, started by the Screaming Eagles of WWII Foundation, to keep the Flame of Liberty alive. A lasting tribute to the men who liberated us all from the dark forces of recent history. Younger generations of fighting men have ensured that the canopy of freedom will protect us and our kids in the future. To combine all these factors a programm has been developed with interaction between WW2 history, the youger generations and the future. May we pass the Torch of Remembrance in the firm hands of the Young ! LEST WE FORGET !

The Screaming Ducks will organize one day out of the Operation Torch scedule for September 2005. This day will focus on 'The Island', the strip of land caught between the rivers Neder-Rhine and the Waal. In WWII a buffer zone between the liberated South, German occupied North and West, and Germany to the East. It’s also known as "The Betuwe" or “Men Island” because in the period of September 1944 to June 1945 it was almost exclusively inhabited by men: Farmers who didn’t want to leave their livestock and soldiers from different countries, living in cellars and abandoned farm houses among the mud and moors of the flooded land. The Screaming Ducks will have a WW2 Convoy as transportation for the members of the Torch Tour, and various famous and infamous Island-locations will be visited on this completely catered day. A day in the footsteps of the 101st Airborne Division.

At the Snowbird reunion of the 101st Airborne Division Association to be held February 2006 in Florida, USA, Operation Torch will formally present the trip to the Board of Governors of the 101st Airborne Association. Two Screaming Ducks and Para Research Team members (CJ Jansen & 'Digger' Vink) will be present during the Snowbird Reunion.
